If you thought that phones like the iPhone 7 Plus, Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge or the Google Pixel were designs to drool over, just take a look at Xiaomi's Mi Mix.
One look at this bezel-free phone and you can't help but fall in love with it. The stunning phone is designed by Philippe Starck. We don't exactly know what the brief was when Xiaomi was commissioning the design of this phone by Starck just went bonkers with it. The Mi Mix shuns bezels and sports an edge-to-edge display.
Up front, the display covers more than 91 percent of the surface area. They even pushed the selfie camera to the bottom of the device.
The Mi Mix sports a massive 6.4 inches display and its ceramic body is fused to the glass without glue.
Hugo Barra even posted about the challenges on making this phone in a Facebook post.
The Mi Mix is powerful too as it comes with a quad-core 2.35 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor. That's Google Pixel Power. And after OnePlus 3 Xiaomi's followed suit with integrating 6GB RAM on the Mi Mix.
The Mi Mix also comes with 256GB of onboard storage and a high density 4,400 mAh battery. The back of the phone features a 16-megapixel camera and a fingerprint sensor.
You don't get a conventional earpiece speaker with the Mi Mix, but Xiaomi has used a piezoelectric actuator.
The only down point here is that the screen resolution on offer is just 1080×2040. They have also used an LCD display on this rather than an OLED screen, this might juice out the battery faster.
The saddest part is that this drool worthy phone might not make it to India. The phone costs way less than an iPhone 7 and the Google Pixel and you can only get this one right now if you have friends in China.
